Grace Namwamba

Grace Namwamba is a gospel recording artist, ordained worship leader, and minister of music. She serves as the director of recordings at Christ the King Christian Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where her ministry is rooted in her local church.

In addition to her music calling, Namwamba is a professor of Consumer Science who has held faculty positions at universities including Southern University and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. This dual career reflects a life devoted both to academic instruction and to worship leadership.

Namwamba has released multiple gospel albums. Her album Mawazo Ya Tumaini was released in 2006, followed by Here I Am in 2011. Her catalog of recorded songs includes “Baba Ninakupenda,” “Hakuna Wakaita,” “Waves of Devotion,” “Bwana Ametoa,” “Nitainua Macho Yangu,” and “Wastahili Bwana.” These recordings feature lyrics in Swahili and English, drawing from her cultural heritage and her passion for heartfelt worship.
