Gas Street Music is the worship ministry and musical collective of Gas Street Church, a community based in Birmingham, UK. The group was formerly known as Worship Central, and its name is derived from the church’s location in a former warehouse district, adopted as a metaphor for being a “light for the city.” Gas Street Music’s sound is described as being birthed from the diversity of their church community, with key worship leaders and songwriters including Tim Hughes, Nick Herbert, Michael Shannon, and others.
