Friends In Praise

Friends In Praise is a gospel music collaboration concept that brings together vocalists Neyi Zimu and Omega Khunou. Both artists have been associated with the worship group Spirit of Praise, and the Friends In Praise project was created to promote unity by featuring artists from different musical backgrounds.

The collaboration was launched on May 2, 2015, with a live recording at the Lyric Theatre in Johannesburg, which was released as Friends In Praise, Vol. 1 (Live). A second live CD and DVD project, Friends In Praise, Vol. 2 (Live), was recorded at the same venue on September 28, 2019. Both albums capture the duo’s live worship performances.

The Friends In Praise catalog includes songs such as “Haufi Le Morena,” “Nyathela,” “Uyaphila,” “Ndimi Apha,” “Pula Tsa Lehlohonolo,” and “Modimo O Lerato.”
