About Evvie McKinney

Evvie McKinney is a Christian and gospel artist known for blending gospel, soul, and pop into her music. Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, in a musically inclined family, McKinney first rose to prominence as the winner of the inaugural season of the television singing competition The Four: Battle for Stardom in 2018.

In 2019, she signed an exclusive recording and publishing agreement with Motown Gospel and Capitol CMG, marking a key step in her move from reality television to a full-time career in Christian music. She released her debut single with the label, “Look No Further,” in 2020, a song that later earned her a K-LOVE Fan Award for Breakout Single of the Year. That same year she released “Bring the Whole Hood.”

McKinney followed with her first EP, This Is Evvie McKinney, in 2021, which included tracks such as “Just Like God.” She continued to release new music, including the single “Church” in 2022, “Don’t Walk Away” in 2024, and “Believe In Jesus” in 2025. A second EP, It Ain’t Over, arrived in 2025.

Throughout her career, McKinney has spoken openly about her Christian faith and its influence on her artistry. She is married to Everett Anderson.
