Elisha Mbukwa

Elisha Mbukwa is a gospel singer and songwriter originally from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, who has been based in Germany in recent years. His music is characterized as modern African gospel, drawing from spiritual themes and his East African roots.

Mbukwa previously performed with the Efatha Gospel Choir from Dar es Salaam during visits to Germany in 2015 and 2017. These collaborations introduced his music to international audiences and laid the groundwork for his solo career.

As a solo artist, Mbukwa has released both live recordings and studio projects, including the Satisfied EP and a live DVD recording titled Yahweh be Glorified. His catalog includes songs such as “Lina nguvu Jina la Yesu,” “Yesu kamshinda shetani,” “Atafanya,” “Hufananishwi,” “Neema Yako,” “Mwamba Wenye Imara” (featuring Zoravo), and “Unioshe kwa Damu” (featuring Calvin John). Through these releases, Mbukwa continues to share African gospel music with listeners beyond Tanzania.
