Elevation

Elevation Worship is a contemporary worship music collective based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The group formed in 2007 at Elevation Church under the leadership of Pastor Steven Furtick. The collective serves as the musical expression of Elevation Church, leading worship during weekend services. Their musical style incorporates elements of modern rock, pop, and gospel.

The songwriting team is anchored by Pastor Steven Furtick and worship leader Chris Brown. The group has released numerous live albums, including Graves Into Gardens, Lion, and When Wind Meets Fire. Elevation Worship has collaborated with various artists, including Maverick City Music and Brandon Lake. A related spinoff group, Elevation Rhythm, focuses on a younger demographic.

Notable songs in the collective’s catalog include “O Come to the Altar,” “Do It Again,” “Graves Into Gardens,” “RATTLE!,” “The Blessing,” “Same God,” “Trust In God,” and “Praise.” Elevation Worship has received a Grammy Award, seven GMA Dove Awards, and two Billboard Music Awards. They were named Group of the Year at the 2024 K-LOVE Fan Awards. The collective has sold over 1.5 million albums in the United States.
