Ebiere

Ebiere Ohochukwu is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and worship minister. She was born on August 24, 1980, in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Ebiere began singing at age six and joined the adult choir of The Rock Word Church at age nine. She served as a lead singer at The Rock Word Church for eight years.

Her formal training includes a certificate in theatre arts from the University of Port Harcourt and a certificate in music from Middlesex University, London. At age 20, she was appointed music director of the Eastern Zone choir of Christ Embassy, and later served as a zonal representative for the Christ Embassy Praise Team worldwide. Ebiere also founded a music and entertainment organization called House of Ephraim.

Ebiere released her first album, Yekileme (Why Me), in 2006, followed by the album Holy Spirit in 2015. Her singles include “Stake My Life” and “I Go Survive,” both from 2019, as well as “Dadi” and “Bless the Lord.” She collaborated with gospel artist Eben on the single “Growing Stronger” and performed live with Sinach on the song “In Awe.” Ebiere also organizes a live worship program titled “Night with the King” (NWTK).
