David Jooste

David Jooste is a Christian songwriter, worship leader, and music producer originally from Cullinan, South Africa. He began his musical training at age seven and started playing in a Baptist church at age eight. At thirteen, he began touring South Africa with musician Julius Magan, an experience that introduced him to music ministry.

Jooste has worked as a music director for worship teams both nationally and internationally for over fifteen years. He launched his solo career in 2013 with the album Answer to the Call, followed by the album Amazing God. His singles include “Total Surrender” (2018), “Promise Keeper” (2019), “Sound of Heaven” (2020), “I Surrender All” (2020), “Glory” (2021), and “Revival” (2022). His touring work has taken him to the UK, Italy, and the USA.

He has served as a worship director at The Woodlands Bible Church and owns a music school called “Play it Right” in Houston, Texas. Through his school and his ongoing ministry, Jooste has been involved in mentoring musicians and equipping worship teams.
