Datin is the stage name of Edward Berrios, an American Christian hip-hop musician. He was born on January 26, 1985, in Newark, New Jersey. Before turning to Christian hip-hop, Berrios gained recognition as an underground battle rapper and became a champion on BET’s 106 & Park Freestyle Friday.
In 2014, he signed with God Over Money Records, a label known for faith-based hip-hop. Datin is noted for his gritty vocal tone and technical emceeing skills. He currently resides in Florida.
His album The Roar was released in 2016 and charted on multiple Billboard lists, reaching No. 11 on the Christian Albums chart, No. 18 on the Independent Albums chart, No. 18 on the Rap Albums chart, and No. 6 on the Heatseekers Albums chart.
