About Danny Plett
Danny Plett is a Canadian contemporary Christian musician, songwriter, and worship leader. He was born in Steinbach, Manitoba, into a musical family and began composing songs at the age of twelve. In 1983, at age twenty-one, he released his debut solo album, You’re the One.
In 1992, Plett relocated to Germany to work with the Christian organization Janz Team, now known as TeachBeyond. During his time there, he served as a musician, songwriter, producer, and worship leader. He also founded the band Danny Plett & Liberation (DP&L) with Brian Delamont and Heinrich Reisich. Plett collaborated with a range of artists, including B.J. Thomas, Michael Card, Steve Camp, and the Oslo Gospel Choir. His catalog from this period includes albums such as Where Angels Dance (1998), Wie ein Strom (2004), and Mein Zuhaus. He also produced a series of children’s concept albums titled Bible Verses Singing Learning.
Plett returned to Canada in 2013 and has continued his music ministry since that time.
