Community Music

Community Music is a worship collective rooted in Community Christian Church in Chicago, Illinois, a congregation pastored by Dave Ferguson. The group is closely aligned with NewThing, a global church planting network, and is made up of worship leaders, church planters, and artists drawn from the church’s multiple campuses. Since 2013, the collective has been led by the husband-and-wife team Lucas and Evelyn Cortazio.

The music of Community Music centers on what the collective describes as the “Jesus Mission” and the message that love overcomes fear. Their catalog includes songs such as “Make Room,” “Nothing He Can’t Do,” “Grace Like Waters,” “Come and Behold,” and a recording of the Christmas hymn “O Holy Night.” Through these releases, the collective aims to create music that supports local and global church leaders in their work.
