Chioma Jesus

Chioma Jesus, born Amaka Ebizie on February 12, 1972, in Aba, Abia State, Nigeria, is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader known for indigenous gospel music. Of Igbo heritage and raised in a Christian household, she began singing in her local church choir at the age of nine. She was also a member of the Scripture Union Fellowship, where she served as a soloist and chorus leader.

She rose to prominence following the release of her debut single “Chioma” in 2003. She is married to Evangelist Callistus Okwuoha and is the founder of the Inheritance of Mercy Foundation, a charitable organization based in Port Harcourt. Her music primarily features the Igbo language, with occasional lyrics in English and Yoruba.

Her catalog includes the singles “Praise” (2011), “Okemmuo” featuring Mercy Chinwo (2020), “Bulldozer” (2020), and “Na God I Dey Praise” (2021). She released the album “My Testimony” in 2019. Chioma Jesus won the Delta Yadah Award in 2011 and 2012, recognizing her contributions to gospel music.
