Candy West

Candy West is a gospel recording artist, worship leader, and pastor. She was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and is the daughter of gospel singer Tommye Young-West.

West began her professional music career as a teenager with the group God’s Property, where she was a featured lead on the song “Sweet Spirit.” She later served as a background singer and contributor for Kirk Franklin and performed and recorded with artists including Mary Mary, Patti LaBelle, Fred Hammond, and Yolanda Adams. She was also a featured vocalist on the song “Set Me Free” with Myron Butler and Levi.

In addition to her music career, West has served as a worship leader at The Potter’s House of Dallas. She is the founder and lead pastor of Convergence Worship Center in Huntsville. Her solo project is titled Candy West Live, and she has released the song “Watch God Work It Out.” West is also a certified life coach and entrepreneur.
