Brothers McClurg

Brothers McClurg is an American Christian music band based in Buffalo, New York. The group was formed by brothers Anthony and Christopher Hoisington. The band’s name honors their maternal grandfather, Pastor Bill McClurg, who led the Southern Gospel group The McClurg Family Singers. The group began making music under the name Brothers McClurg in 2008, having previously performed as Relevant Worship.

The band’s members have included Anthony Hoisington, Christopher Hoisington, Jeremy Thompson, Matt Poulsen, Dan Swain, Justin Michau, and Peter Bordin. Their musical style has been described as incorporating bluegrass and Southern Gospel influences. In 2012, they signed with Integrity Music and released their first studio album, Join in the Sound. The album peaked at No. 36 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart and No. 22 on the Heatseekers Albums chart.

Brothers McClurg later founded their own record label, Old Bear Records. Their catalog also includes the EP Alive, the song “Just Say,” the Christmas album Goin’ Back to Bethlehem, and the albums Home and Around the Mic. Through their music and label work, the group has continued to focus on worship ministry rooted in a multi-generational musical heritage.
