Blake Gillette

Blake Gillette is an orthopedic surgeon and composer of faith-based music. Based in Spanish Fork, Utah, he holds degrees from the University of Utah and The Ohio State University and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic. In addition to his medical career, he writes and records music for church settings.

Gillette began writing music for his church’s children’s organization, known as Primary, at the suggestion of his wife, Kaicie. This led to his first book of Primary song arrangements, I Will Be What I Believe, published in 2017. His musical work often features hymn mash-ups and original compositions centered on gospel principles.

In 2018 he released the album JOY: Now Their King He Shall be Known, followed by ZION in 2022. His singles include “Choose to Serve the Lord” (2021), “He Prepares a Way” (2023), and “You Are the Kingdom” (2023). In 2024 he released the album He’ll Provide a Way: The Musical, and in 2025 the single “In the Palm of His Hand.” Throughout his music career, Gillette has collaborated with artists such as Angie Killian and Holly Gardner.
