About Benjamin William Hastings
Benjamin William Hastings (born 15 November 1991) is a Northern Irish Christian music artist, singer, and songwriter. He was raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and later moved to Sydney, Australia, in his early twenties. He is a former member of the worship bands Hillsong United and Hillsong Worship.
Hastings is known for co-writing and providing lead vocals on the Hillsong United song "So Will I (100 Billion X)," which earned an RIAA platinum certification. He has also co-written songs for other artists, including "The Father's House" (Cory Asbury) and "Gratitude" (Brandon Lake).
In 2022, Hastings released his self-titled debut solo album, Benjamin William Hastings, on Capitol CMG. He followed with the album Sold Out, Sincerely in 2024, which reached number 27 on the U.S. Top Christian Albums chart. Also in 2024, he released the EP If It Wasn't for Jesus. His single "That's the Thing About Praise" peaked at number 11 on the Christian Airplay chart. In 2025, he released the album How I'd Sing It On a Sunday.
Hastings’ solo music often explores themes of faith, doubt, and the human experience. He is married to novelist Jessa Hastings, and they have two children. He is currently based in Nashville, Tennessee.
