Anchor Hymns

Anchor Hymns is a multigenerational collective of Christian artists and songwriters formed in 2022. The group was gathered by Andrew Osenga, who serves as its founder. Its mission is to help people rediscover the heart of Christ through songs that address both joy and suffering. The collective began in the basement of an Anglican church in Nashville, Tennessee, and its musical style incorporates elements of Neo Soul, Indie Rock, Blues, Jazz, and R&B.

Members and collaborators include Paul Baloche, Sandra McCracken, Leslie Jordan, Taylor Leonhardt, Jess Ray, and others. The group’s songwriting process focuses on theological depth and honesty regarding the human condition. Anchor Hymns initially formed under a record label before transitioning into a nonprofit organization.

The collective has released several projects. In 2022, they released the EP Be Unto Your Name. In 2023, they released the EPs Give Thanks, Sing, Sing, Sing, and The Beauty of the Heart of Christ. The EP No Home But You followed in 2024, along with the album Beloved: Live from Black Abbey. In 2025, they released The Garden, a live album. The collective also issued the single “This Is How We Know What Love Is.”
