Alemba

Alemba, born Alex Mwangi, is a Kenyan gospel artist, musician, and emcee known for his energetic work as a hype man. He developed his passion for music and performance while in high school. Early in his career, he was associated with the System Unit, a group of DJs and artists. He relocated to the United States in 2012 and later returned to Kenya, continuing to build his music ministry.

Alemba has collaborated with several gospel artists on a variety of songs. His track "Pages Za Bible," featuring DJ Sadic and Juliani, won Song of the Year at the 2010 Chaguo La Teeniez Awards. The following year, "Praise Him" earned him the Ragga/Reggae Song of the Year award at the 2011 Groove Awards. In 2012, his song "Am Walking," featuring Exodus, took home both Video of the Year and Ragga/Reggae Song of the Year at the Groove Awards. Additional songs in his catalog include "System Anthem" (featuring Dunco, Jimmy Gait, Ngashville, Heyz, DK, and DJ Sadic), "Nifungue" (featuring Kaberere and DJ Sadic), "Hide & Seek" (featuring Hopekid), "Wat Agwan" (featuring Kevoh Yout and DJ Sadic), and "Prayers" (featuring Pnine and St P).

Beyond music, Alemba has worked as a radio presenter and TV host, further establishing his presence in Kenyan entertainment and gospel ministry.
