Adawnage Band

Adawnage Band is a contemporary Christian music group based in Nairobi, Kenya. The band was founded on May 28, 2008. Its name, "Adawnage," is a fusion of the words "A Dawn Age," reflecting a theme of new beginnings. The group is composed of multiple members, including vocalists, instrumentalists, and technical staff.

The band released its debut album, Safari – The Journey, in December 2010. This project introduced their sound to the Kenyan gospel scene. They followed with a second album, Maisha, in 2016. Songs in their catalog include "Uwezo," "Naomba," "I Live for You," "Mercy Surrounds Me," "Sitaogopa," and "Uhimidiwe."

Adawnage Band has received recognition within Kenya for its music. The group won Group of the Year at the Groove Awards in 2012. In 2017, they again won Group of the Year at the same awards. That year also saw their song "I Live for You" win Video of the Year at the Groove Awards.
