Bwana akamwambia Haruni, Wewe na wanao na nyumba ya baba zako pamoja nawe mtachukua uovu wa patakatifu; wewe na wanao pamoja nawe mtauchukua ukuhani wenu.
So the LORD said to Aaron, “You and your sons and your father’s house must bear the iniquity involving the sanctuary. And you and your sons alone must bear the iniquity involving your priesthood.

Na ndugu zako nao, kabila ya Lawi, kabila ya baba yako, uwalete karibu pamoja nawe, ili waungwe nawe, na kukuhudumia; bali wewe na wanao pamoja nawe mtakuwa mbele ya hema ya ushahidi.
But bring with you also your brothers from the tribe of Levi, the tribe of your father, that they may join you and assist you and your sons before the Tent of the Testimony.

Nao watashika ulinzi kwa amri yako, na ulinzi wa Hema yote; lakini wasikaribie vyombo vya patakatifu, wala madhabahu, wasife, wao pamoja na ninyi.
And they shall attend to your duties and to all the duties of the Tent; but they must not come near to the furnishings of the sanctuary or the altar, or both they and you will die.

Nao wataungwa nawe, na kuushika ulinzi wa hema ya kukutania, kwa ajili ya utumishi wote wa hema; na mgeni asiwakaribie ninyi.
They are to join you and attend to the duties of the Tent of Meeting, doing all the work at the Tent; but no outsider may come near you.

Nanyi mtashika ulinzi wa patakatifu, na ulinzi wa madhabahu, isiwe ghadhabu juu ya wana wa Israeli tena.
And you shall attend to the duties of the sanctuary and of the altar, so that wrath may not fall on the Israelites again.

Nami, tazama, nimewatwaa ndugu zenu Walawi miongoni mwa wana wa Israeli; kwenu ninyi watu hao ni kipawa alichopewa Bwana, waufanye utumishi wa hema ya kukutania.
Behold, I Myself have selected your fellow Levites from the Israelites as a gift to you, dedicated to the LORD to perform the service for the Tent of Meeting.

Nawe na wanao pamoja nawe mtautunza ukuhani wenu, kwa ajili ya kila kitu cha madhabahu, na kwa ajili ya vile vilivyomo ndani ya pazia, nanyi mtatumika. Nawapeni ukuhani kuwa utumishi wa kipawa; na mgeni akaribiaye atauawa.
But only you and your sons shall attend to your priesthood for everything concerning the altar and what is inside the veil, and you are to perform that service. I am giving you the work of the priesthood as a gift, but any outsider who comes near the sanctuary must be put to death.”

Kisha Bwana akamwambia Haruni, Tazama, nimekupa wewe ulinzi wa sadaka zangu za kuinuliwa, maana, vitu vyote vya hao wana wa Israeli vilivyowekwa wakfu; nimekupa wewe na wanao vitu hivyo kwa ajili ya kule kutiwa mafuta kwenu, kuwa haki yenu milele.
Then the LORD said to Aaron, “Behold, I have put you in charge of My offerings. As for all the sacred offerings of the Israelites, I have given them to you and your sons as a portion and a permanent statute.

Vitu hivi vitakuwa vyako katika vile vilivyo vitakatifu sana, visiteketezwe motoni; matoleo yao yote, maana, kila sadaka yao ya unga, na kila sadaka yao ya dhambi, na kila sadaka yao ya hatia watakayonitolea, vitakuwa vitakatifu sana kwa ajili yako wewe na kwa wanao.
A portion of the most holy offerings reserved from the fire will be yours. From all the offerings they render to Me as most holy offerings, whether grain offerings or sin offerings or guilt offerings, that part belongs to you and your sons.

Utakula vitu hivyo kuwa ni vitu vitakatifu sana; kila mume atakula vitu hivyo; vitakuwa vitakatifu kwako wewe.
You are to eat it as a most holy offering, and every male may eat it. You shall regard it as holy.

Tena kitu hiki ni chako; ile sadaka ya kuinuliwa ya kipawa chao, maana, sadaka za kutikiswa zote za wana wa Israeli; hizi nimekupa wewe, na wanao na binti zako pamoja nawe, ni haki yenu milele; kila mtu katika nyumba yako aliye safi atakula katika hizo.
And this is yours as well: the offering of their gifts, along with all the wave offerings of the Israelites. I have given this to you and your sons and daughters as a permanent statute. Every ceremonially clean person in your household may eat it.

Yaliyo mazuri katika mafuta, na yaliyo mazuri ya mavuno ya zabibu, na ya mavuno ya nafaka, malimbuko yake watakayompa Bwana, amekupa wewe hayo.
I give you all the freshest olive oil and all the finest new wine and grain that the Israelites give to the LORD as their firstfruits.

Matunda ya kwanza yaivayo katika yote yaliyo katika nchi yao, watakayomletea Bwana, yatakuwa yako, kila mtu aliye safi katika nyumba yako atakula katika vitu hivyo.
The firstfruits of everything in their land that they bring to the LORD will belong to you. Every ceremonially clean person in your household may eat them.

Kila kitu kilichowekwa wakfu katika Israeli kitakuwa chako.
Every devoted thing in Israel belongs to you.
15
Kila kifunguacho tumbo, cha wenye mwili wote watakachomsongezea Bwana cha wanadamu na cha wanyama, ni chako; lakini mzaliwa wa kwanza wa binadamu, huna budi utamkomboa, na mzaliwa wa kwanza wa wanyama wasio safi utamkomboa.
The firstborn of every womb, whether man or beast, that is offered to the LORD belongs to you. But you must surely redeem every firstborn son and every firstborn male of unclean animals.

Na hao watakaokombolewa katika wanyama hao, tangu aliyepata umri wa mwezi mmoja utamkomboa, kama utakavyohesabu kima chake, kwa fedha ya shekeli tano, kwa shekeli ya mahali patakatifu (nayo ni gera ishirini).
You are to pay the redemption price for a month-old male according to your valuation: five shekels of silver, according to the sanctuary shekel, which is twenty gerahs.

Lakini mzaliwa wa kwanza wa ng'ombe, au mzaliwa wa kwanza wa kondoo, au mzaliwa wa kwanza wa mbuzi, hutawakomboa hao; maana, ni watakatifu hao; utanyunyiza damu yao katika madhabahu, na kuyateketeza mafuta yao kuwa sadaka iliyosongezwa kwa Bwana kwa moto, iwe harufu ya kupendeza.
But you must not redeem the firstborn of an ox, a sheep, or a goat; they are holy. You are to splatter their blood on the altar and burn their fat as a food offering, a pleasing aroma to the LORD.

Tena nyama yao itakuwa ni yako wewe, kama kile kidari cha kutikiswa, na kama mguu wa nyuma wa upande wa kuume, itakuwa yako.
And their meat belongs to you, just as the breast and right thigh of the wave offering belong to you.

Sadaka zote za kuinuliwa za vitu vitakatifu, wana wa Israeli wavisongezavyo kwa Bwana, nimekupa wewe na wanao na binti zako pamoja nawe, ni haki yenu ya milele; ni agano la chumvi la milele mbele za Bwana kwa ajili yako, na kizazi chako pamoja nawe.
All the holy offerings that the Israelites present to the LORD I give to you and to your sons and daughters as a permanent statute. It is a permanent covenant of salt before the LORD for you and your offspring.”

Kisha Bwana akamwambia Haruni, Wewe hutakuwa na urithi katika nchi yao, wala hutakuwa na fungu lo lote kati yao; mimi ni fungu lako, na urithi wako, katika wana wa Israeli.
Then the LORD said to Aaron, “You will have no inheritance in their land, nor will you have any portion among them. I am your portion and your inheritance among the Israelites.

Na wana wa Lawi, nimewapa zaka yote katika Israeli kuwa urithi wao, badala ya huo utumishi wautumikao, maana, ni huo utumishi wa hema ya kukutania.
Behold, I have given to the Levites all the tithes in Israel as an inheritance in return for the work they do, the service of the Tent of Meeting.

Mwanzo wa sasa wana wa Israeli wasikaribie hema ya kukutania, wasije wakachukua dhambi, nao wakafa.
No longer may the Israelites come near to the Tent of Meeting, or they will incur guilt and die.
23
Lakini Walawi watatumika utumishi wa hema ya kukutania, nao watauchukua uovu wao; hii itakuwa amri ya milele katika vizazi vyenu vyote, na kati ya wana wa Israeli hawatakuwa na urithi.
The Levites are to perform the work of the Tent of Meeting, and they must bear their iniquity. This is a permanent statute for the generations to come. The Levites will not receive an inheritance among the Israelites.

Kwa kuwa zaka ya wana wa Israeli, waisongezayo kuwa sadaka ya kuinuliwa kwa Bwana, nimewapa Walawi kuwa urithi wao; kwa hiyo nimewaambia, ya kwamba, katika wana wa Israeli hawatakuwa na urithi uwao wote.
For I have given to the Levites as their inheritance the tithe that the Israelites present to the LORD as a contribution. That is why I told them that they would not receive an inheritance among the Israelites.”

Kisha Bwana akanena na Musa, na kumwambia,
And the LORD instructed Moses,

Tena utanena na Walawi, na kuwaambia, Hapo mtakapoitwaa zaka mkononi mwa wana wa Israeli niliyowapa ninyi kutoka kwao kuwa urithi wenu, ndipo mtakaposongeza sadaka ya kuinuliwa kwa Bwana katika hiyo, iwe zaka katika hiyo zaka.
“Speak to the Levites and tell them: ‘When you receive from the Israelites the tithe that I have given you as your inheritance, you must present part of it as an offering to the LORD—a tithe of the tithe.

Na sadaka yenu ya kuinuliwa itahesabiwa kwenu, kama ndiyo nafaka ya sakafu ya kupuria, na kama kujaa kwake kinu cha kushindikia zabibu.
Your offering will be reckoned to you as grain from the threshing floor or juice from the winepress.
28
Hivyo ninyi nanyi mtasongeza sadaka ya kuinuliwa kwa Bwana katika zaka zenu zote, mpokeazo mikononi mwa wana wa Israeli; kwa hiyo mtampa Haruni kuhani hiyo sadaka ya kuinuliwa kwa Bwana.
So you are to present an offering to the LORD from all the tithes you receive from the Israelites, and from these you are to give the LORD’s offering to Aaron the priest.

Katika vipawa vyenu vyote mtasongeza kila sadaka ya kuinuliwa ya Bwana, ya wema wake wote, hiyo sehemu yake iliyowekwa takatifu.
You must present the offering due the LORD from all the best of every gift, the holiest part of it.’
30
Kwa ajili ya hayo utawaambia, Mtakapoinua humo hayo yaliyo mema, ndipo yatahesabiwa kuwa ya Walawi, kama kuongea kwake sakafu ya kupuria nafaka, na kama maongeo ya kinu cha kushindikia zabibu.
Therefore say to the Levites, ‘When you have presented the best part, it will be reckoned to you as the produce of the threshing floor or winepress.
31
Nanyi mtakula hayo kila mahali, ninyi na watu wa nyumbani mwenu; kwa kuwa ni thawabu yenu badala ya utumishi wenu katika hema ya kukutania.
And you and your households may eat the rest of it anywhere; it is the compensation for your work at the Tent of Meeting.
32
Nanyi hamtachukua dhambi kwa ajili yake, hapo mtakapokwisha kuinua humo hayo mema yake; lakini msivitie unajisi vile vitu vitakatifu vya wana wa Israeli, ili msife.
Once you have presented the best part of it, you will not incur guilt because of it. But you must not defile the sacred offerings of the Israelites, or else you will die.’”
