1 Samweli 27 : 1 1st Samuel chapter 27 verse 1

Ndipo Daudi aliposema moyoni mwake, Siku moja, basi, mimi nitaangamia kwa mkono wa Sauli; hakuna jema zaidi kwangu kuliko kukimbia mpaka nchi ya Wafilisti; naye Sauli atakata tamaa kwa habari yangu, asinitafute tena mipakani mwote mwa Israeli; hivyo nitaokoka katika mikono yake.

David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul will despair of me, to seek me any more in all the borders of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.
