Kwa kuwa Heshboni ulikuwa ni mji wa Sihoni mfalme wa Waamori, aliyekuwa akipigana na mfalme wa Moabu wa mbele, na kumpokonya nchi yake yote mkononi mwake, mpaka mto wa Arnoni.
