Akaiweka sanamu ya kuchongwa ya Ashera aliyoifanya ndani ya nyumba, ambayo Bwana alimwambia Daudi, na Sulemani mwanawe, Katika nyumba hii, na katika Yerusalemu, niliouchagua miongoni mwa kabila zote za Israeli, nitaliweka jina langu milele;
