Lyrics

I’m gonna dance and praise Him

It doesn’t matter what comes my way

The greater One lives inside of me

His name is Jesus, I’m born a winner

More than victorious, I’m a heir of the kingdom

Filled with the Holy Ghost

Oh oh oh oh

I’m gonna dance and praise Him

It doesn’t matter what comes my way

The greater One lives inside of me

His name is Jesus

I’m born a winner

More than victorious

I’m a heir of His kingdom

Filled with the Holy Ghost

I rejoice in Him

I rejoice in Him

I rejoice in Him

I rejoice in Him

More than a conqueror

I’m gonna dance and praise Him

It doesn’t matter what comes my way

The greater One lives inside of me

His name is Jesus, I’m born a winner

More than victorious, I’m a heir of His kingdom

Filled with the Holy Ghost

Oh oh oh, Oh oh oh

I rejoice in Him

I rejoice in Him

I rejoice in Him

More than a conqueror

No weapon formed against me

Shall ever prosper

The greater One lives inside of me

His name is Jesus

I’m born a winner

More than victorious

I’m a heir of His kingdom

Filled with the Holy Ghost

I rejoice in Him

I rejoice in Him

I rejoice in Him

More than a conqueror

More than a conqueror

More than a conqueror

More than a conqueror

More than victorious

More than victorious

More than victorious

Oh oh oh, Oh oh oh

I’m gonna dance and praise Him

It doesn’t matter what comes my way

The greater One lives inside of me

His name is Jesus, I’m born a winner,

More than victorious, I’m a heir of His kingdom

Filled with the Holy Ghost

I’m gonna dance and praise Him

It doesn’t matter what comes my way

The greater One lives inside of me

His name is Jesus, I’m born a winner

More than victorious, I’m a heir of His kingdom

Filled with the Holy Ghost

Meaning & Inspiration

I was listening to this song from the The Name of Jesus album, and it’s hard not to get caught up in the energy of it. It’s definitely bold. When she sings about the "greater One" living inside, I keep thinking about what John wrote, about how He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. It’s such a grounding promise when things feel heavy or out of control. It feels like she’s trying to hold onto that truth when everything else is shifting. But then, as I’m dancing along, I have to stop and wonder if I’m just using Scripture as a shield to ignore the reality of suffering.

She claims to be "born a winner" and "more than victorious," which pulls right from those lines in Romans 8 about us being more than conquerors through Him who loved us. It’s powerful, but it makes me pause because Paul was talking about that in the context of famine, nakedness, and sword. He wasn’t saying life would be easy or that we’d always feel like winners. Sometimes I worry that by focusing so much on the victory, we skip over the fact that our identity as heirs of the kingdom is often refined in the very things we’re trying to dance away from. It feels right to rejoice, absolutely—Paul tells us to rejoice always—but is it a rejoicing that acknowledges the struggle, or one that denies it? I want to believe the words, and I know the Spirit is in me, but I have to ask myself if I’m resting in Christ’s actual victory or if I’m just trying to manifest a version of my life where nothing hard can touch me. It’s a strange place to be, wanting to sing with that kind of certainty while knowing how broken the ground beneath my feet actually is.
