## Introduction: Kingdom Principles for Money and Resources

The purpose of this article is to discuss the Kingdom principles for money and resources. In order to understand these principles, we must first grasp the concept of wealth in the Kingdom of God.

The original purpose and plan of God was to extend the heavenly Kingdom to Earth. This means that the colony of people on Earth should reflect the nature of the heavenly Kingdom. In a Kingdom, wealth is the personal property of the King. The King owns everything, and whatever he gives to his citizens is for the purpose of accomplishing his goals in the colony.

##Parable of the Talents, Matthew 25:14-30

Next, we learn from the parable in Matthew 25:14-30 that the Kingdom citizen is responsible and accountable to the King for the use and management of his resources. The parable tells the story of a man who entrusts his property to his servants before going on a journey. To one servant, he gives five talents of money; to another, he gives two talents; and to another, he gives one talent. Each servant is given resources according to his ability.

When the man returns, he settles accounts with his servants. The servant who received five talents and the one who received two talents had multiplied their money. Their master commends them for being good and faithful servants and gives them even more responsibility. But the servant who received one talent had buried it in the ground out of fear. This servant is rebuked and his talent is taken from him.

##Principles regarding money and resources:

1. Resources and money are a trust given by God. They are not our own, but are given to us for a specific purpose. We are accountable to the King for how we use and manage these resources.

2. The quantity of resources we receive is determined by our ability to handle them. God gives us resources according to our capabilities, not based on how much we want or need.

3. Resources are meant to be put to work for the Kingdom. We are called to use our resources to accomplish God's purposes on Earth, not to hoard or possess them for our own desires.

4. God expects a return on His investment. Just as in the parable, God expects us to multiply the resources He gives us. This requires wisdom, creativity, and faithfulness in managing and investing our resources.

5. Our attitude towards money and resources is crucial. Jealousy, greed, and scarcity mentality can hinder our ability to properly manage our resources. We must have a Kingdom mindset that recognizes everything we have is entrusted to us by the King.

6. Mismanagement of resources and money is a result of laziness and wickedness. We are called to be good and faithful stewards of what God has given us. Laziness and wickedness prevent us from being effective managers of God's resources.

7. The management of material resources directly impacts our ability to manage spiritual resources. Our faithfulness and wisdom in managing the physical resources God gives us determines our ability to handle spiritual blessings and responsibilities.

As citizens of the Kingdom of God, it is our responsibility to manage our money and resources according to the principles of the Kingdom. This requires a shift in mindset from a scarcity mentality to a mindset of trust and stewardship. We must recognize that everything we have is a gift from God, and we are called to use these resources to further His Kingdom on Earth. May we be good and faithful stewards, multiplying the resources He has given us and bringing glory to His name.
