Samuel Medas

Samuel Medas is a Guyanese singer, songwriter, and producer in the gospel music space. He was born in Uitvlugt, West Coast Demerara, Guyana, and grew up in a Christian household with parents who serve as pastors. At age five, he taught himself to play the piano, an early sign of the musical path he would later follow.

A near-fatal motorcycle accident at age fourteen became a turning point in his life. Medas has stated that the experience influenced his decision to dedicate both his life and his music to God. Before launching his professional solo career in 2012, he was part of a musical duo called Cross Carriers alongside his cousin Allan Petty.

Medas has released several songs, including “Royalty,” “Presence,” “Move,” “Jah Arise,” “Stadium,” and “People.” His work earned him a Marlin Award, and his song “Stadium” won the Guyanese Soca Monarch title. Through his music, Medas continues to share his Christian faith from his roots in Guyana.
