About Morgan Harper Nichols
Morgan Harper Nichols, born Morgan Novelate Harper on February 4, 1990, in Los Angeles, California, is a Christian musician, songwriter, poet, and artist. She is the daughter of Bishop James Henry Harper and Pastor Mona Nanette Harper and the sister of fellow musician Jamie Grace. Growing up in a church-planting family, Nichols began her music career as a touring musician before signing with Gotee Records in 2015.
That same year, she released her debut studio album, Morgan Harper Nichols, and had previously collaborated with her sister on the EP Family Christmas (2014). Her catalog includes the song “Storyteller.” Her early work established her as a vocalist and songwriter within the Christian music community.
Over time, Nichols expanded her creative work beyond music into mixed-media art, poetry, and writing. Her work often explores themes of connection and faith. She is the author of the book All Along You Were Blooming. Diagnosed with autism, ADHD, and sensory processing disorder at age 31, she also serves on the Board of Directors for the mental health organization To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA). Through these diverse outlets, Nichols continues to express a message rooted in her Christian faith and her commitment to mental health awareness.
