Hata Samweli alipokuwa akiitoa hiyo sadaka ya kuteketezwa, Wafilisti wakakaribia ili kupigana na Israeli; walakini Bwana akapiga ngurumo, mshindo mkubwa sana, juu ya Wafilisti siku ile, akawafadhaisha; nao wakaangamizwa mbele ya Israeli.

As Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel; but Yahweh thundered with a great thunder on that day on the Philistines, and confused them; and they were struck down before Israel.
