Pulpit CommentaryVerse 26. - But when the blade was sprung up (ἐβλάστησεν ὁ χόρτος: cf. Mark 4:27), and brought forth fruit. Observe that there is no thought of the tares injuring the wheat (contrast vers. 7, 22). Then appeared the tares also.
