Pulpit Commentary

Pulpit CommentaryVerse 14. - The first rain; the rain which falls from the middle of October to the end of December, which prepares the soil for the seed, and keeps it moist after the seed is sown. "They that have gathered it shall eat it" (Isaiah 62:8-9).
