Ellicott's Commentary for English Readers(31) They rejoiced for the consolation.--We ought not to forget that the letter was probably read out by one who was himself emphatically "the son of consolation" (Acts 4:36) in all the manifold aspects of that word, and who now proved himself worthy of the name.
