Ellicott's Commentary for English Readers(19) That lord.--The adjutant.Now.--And.Might such a thing be?--Literally, Might it happen according to this word? But the LXX., Syriac, and Vulg.,with many Hebrew MSS., read, as in 2Kings 7:2, "Might this thing (or word) be?"
