| Kisha Bwana akanena na Musa, na kumwambia, Hesabu 8:1 |
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, |
| Nena na Haruni, ukamwambie, Utakapoziweka taa, hizo taa saba zitatoa nuru hapo mbele ya kinara cha taa. Hesabu 8:2 |
"Speak to Aaron, and tell him, 'When you light the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the lampstand.'" |
| Basi Haruni akafanya; akaziweka taa zake ili zitoe nuru hapo mbele ya kinara, kama Bwana alivyomwagiza Musa. Hesabu 8:3 |
Aaron did so. He lit its lamps to light the area in front of the lampstand, as Yahweh commanded Moses. |
| Na hii ndiyo kazi ya hicho kinara cha taa, ilikuwa ni kazi ya ufuzi wa dhahabu; tangu tako lake hata maua yake kilikuwa ni kazi ya ufuzi; vile vile kama ule mfano Bwana aliokuwa amemwonyesha Musa, ndivyo alivyokifanya kinara. Hesabu 8:4 |
This was the workmanship of the lampstand, beaten work of gold. From its base to its flowers, it was beaten work: according to the pattern which Yahweh had shown Moses, so he made the lampstand. |

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, |
| Watwae Walawi na kuwaondoa kati ya wana wa Israeli, kisha uwatakase. Hesabu 8:6 |
"Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them. |
| Nawe utawafanyia mambo haya ili kuwatakasa; nyunyiza juu yao maji yatakasayo dhambi, nao wajinyoe kwa wembe mwili wote, kisha wazifue nguo zao, na kujitakasa. Hesabu 8:7 |
Thus shall you do to them, to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of cleansing on them, let them shave their whole bodies with a razor, and let them wash their clothes, and cleanse themselves. |
| Kisha na watwae ng'ombe mume mmoja mchanga, na sadaka yake ya unga, unga mwembamba uliochanganywa na mafuta, nawe utatwaa ng'ombe mume mchanga mwingine kuwa sadaka ya dhambi. Hesabu 8:8 |
Then let them take a young bull, and its meal offering, fine flour mixed with oil; and another young bull you shall take for a sin offering. |
| Nawe utawahudhurisha Walawi mbele ya hema ya kukutania; nawe utaukutanisha mkutano wote wa wana wa Israeli; Hesabu 8:9 |
You shall present the Levites before the Tent of Meeting. You shall assemble the whole congregation of the children of Israel. |

You shall present the Levites before Yahweh. The children of Israel shall lay their hands on the Levites, |
| naye Haruni atawasongeza Walawi mbele za Bwana wawe sadaka ya kutikiswa, kwa ajili ya wana wa Israeli, ili wawe wenye kufanya utumishi wa Bwana. Hesabu 8:11 |
and Aaron shall offer the Levites before Yahweh for a wave offering, on the behalf of the children of Israel, that it may be theirs to do the service of Yahweh. |
| Kisha Walawi wataweka mikono yao juu ya vichwa vya hao ng'ombe; nawe umtoe mmoja kuwa sadaka ya dhambi kwa Bwana, na huyo wa pili awe sadaka ya kuteketezwa, ili kufanya upatanisho kwa ajili ya Walawi. Hesabu 8:12 |
The Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, and you shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering to Yahweh, to make atonement for the Levites. |
| Kisha utawaweka Walawi mbele ya Haruni, na mbele ya wanawe na kuwasongeza kwa Bwana wawe sadaka ya kutikiswa. Hesabu 8:13 |
You shall set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them as a wave offering to Yahweh. |
| Ndivyo utakavyowatenga Walawi na kuwatoa katika wana wa Israeli; na Walawi watakuwa wangu. Hesabu 8:14 |
Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be mine. |
| Kisha baadaye Walawi wataingia ndani, ili wafanye utumishi wa hema ya kukutania; nawe utawatakasa, na kuwasongeza wawe sadaka ya kutikiswa. Hesabu 8:15 |
"After that, the Levites shall go in to do the service of the Tent of Meeting: and you shall cleanse them, and offer them as a wave offering. |

For they are wholly given to me from among the children of Israel; instead of all who open the womb, even the firstborn of all the children of Israel, I have taken them to me. |
| Kwa kuwa wazaliwa wa kwanza wote katika wana wa Israeli ni wangu, wa wanadamu na wa wanyama; siku hiyo niliyowapiga wazaliwa wa kwanza wote katika nchi ya Misri niliwatakasa kwa ajili yangu mwenyewe. Hesabu 8:17 |
For all the firstborn among the children of Israel are mine, both man and animal. On the day that I struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified them for myself. |

I have taken the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel. |
| Nami nimempa Haruni hao Walawi wawe kipawa chake yeye na wanawe, kutoka kwa wana wa Israeli, ili watumike utumishi wa wana wa Israeli katika hema ya kukutania, kisha wafanye upatanisho kwa ajili ya wana wa Israeli; ili kusiwe na maradhi kati ya wana wa Israeli, hapo wana wa Israeli watakapopakaribia mahali patakatifu. I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the Tent of Meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel; that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come near to the sanctuary." |

Thus did Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, to the Levites. According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so the children of Israel did to them. |
| Walawi wakajitakasa na dhambi, nao wakafua nguo zao; kisha Haruni akawasongeza mbele za Bwana wawe sadaka ya kutikiswa; Haruni akafanya kwa ajili yao ili kuwatakasa. Hesabu 8:21 |
The Levites purified themselves from sin, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them for a wave offering before Yahweh; and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them. |
| Kisha baada ya hayo Walawi wakaingia ili wafanye utumishi wao ndani ya hema ya kukutania mbele ya Haruni na mbele ya wanawe; kama Bwana alivyomwagiza Musa kwa habari za hao Walawi, ndivyo walivyowafanyia. Hesabu 8:22 |
After that, the Levites went in to do their service in the Tent of Meeting before Aaron, and before his sons: as Yahweh had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them. |

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, |
| Mambo yawapasayo hao Walawi ni haya; tangu waliopata umri wa miaka ishirini na mitano na zaidi wataingia ndani ili watumike utumishi katika kazi ya hema ya kukutania; Hesabu 8:24 |
"This is that which belongs to the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall go in to wait on the service in the work of the Tent of Meeting; |
| tena tangu waliopata umri wa miaka hamsini wataacha kutumika huo utumishi, wasitumike tena; Hesabu 8:25 |
and from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting on the work, and shall serve no more, |
| lakini watatumika pamoja na ndugu zao katika hema ya kukutania, kushika ulinzi, lakini wasitumike katika huo utumishi tena. Ndivyo utakavyowafanyia Walawi katika mambo ya ulinzi wao. Hesabu 8:26 |
but shall minister with their brothers in the Tent of Meeting, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shall you do to the Levites concerning their duties." |
