Basi Daudi akajifanyia nyumba katika mji wa Daudi; akapaweka tayari mahali kwa ajili ya sanduku la Mungu, akalipigia hema. 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:1

 [David] made him houses in the city of David; and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.

Ndipo Daudi akasema, Haimpasi mtu awaye yote kulichukua sanduku la Mungu, isipokuwa Walawi peke yao; kwa kuwa hao ndio aliowachagua Bwana, ili walichukue sanduku la Mungu, na kumtumikia daima. 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:2

 Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them has Yahweh chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister to him forever.

Basi Daudi akawakusanya Israeli wote huko Yerusalemu, ili kulipandisha sanduku la Bwana, mpaka mahali pake alipoliwekea tayari. 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:3

 David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Yahweh to its place, which he had prepared for it.

Daudi akawakutanisha wana wa Haruni, na Walawi; 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:4

 David gathered together the sons of Aaron, and the Levites:

wa wana wa Kohathi; Urieli mkuu wao, na nduguze mia na ishirini; 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:5

 of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the chief, and his brothers one hundred twenty;

wa wana wa Merari; Asaya mkuu wao, na nduguze mia mbili na ishirini; 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:6

 of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred twenty;

wa wana wa Gershoni; Yoeli mkuu wao, na nduguze mia na thelathini; 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:7

 of the sons of Gershom, Joel the chief, and his brothers one hundred thirty;

wa wana wa Elsafani; Shemaya mkuu wao, na nduguze mia mbili; 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:8

 of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred;

wa wana wa Hebroni; Elieli mkuu wao, na nduguze themanini; 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:9

 of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief, and his brothers eighty;

wa wana wa Uzieli; Aminadabu mkuu wao, na nduguze mia na kumi na wawili. 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:10

 of the sons of Uzziel, Amminadab the chief, and his brothers one hundred twelve.

Tena, Daudi akawaita Sadoki na Abiathari makuhani, na hao Walawi, Urieli, Asaya, Yoeli, Shemaya, Elieli, na Aminadabu, 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:11

 David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,

akawaambia, Ninyi ni vichwa vya mbari za baba za Walawi; jitakaseni, ninyi na ndugu zenu, ili mlipandishe sanduku la Bwana, Mungu wa Israeli, mpaka mahali pale nilipoliwekea tayari. 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:12

 and said to them, You are the heads of the fathers' [houses] of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both you and your brothers, that you may bring up the ark of Yahweh, the God of Israel, to [the place] that I have prepared for it.

Kwani kwa sababu ninyi hamkulichukua safari ya kwanza, Bwana, Mungu wetu, alitufurikia, kwa maana hatukumtafuta sawasawa na sheria. 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:13

 For because you didn't carry it at the first, Yahweh our God made a breach on us, because we didn't seek him according to the ordinance.

Basi makuhani na Walawi wakajitakasa, ili wapate kulipandisha sanduku la Bwana, Mungu wa Israeli. 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:14

 So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of Yahweh, the God of Israel.

Na wana wa Walawi wakalichukua sanduku la Mungu mabegani mwao kwa miti yake, kama vile Musa alivyoamuru, sawasawa na neno la Bwana. 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:15

 The children of the Levites bore the ark of God on their shoulders with the poles thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of Yahweh.

Kisha Daudi akamwambia mkuu wa Walawi, kwamba awaagize ndugu zao waimbaji, pamoja na vyombo vyao vya kupigia ngoma, vinanda, na vinubi, na matoazi, wavipige na kupaza sauti kwa furaha. 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:16

 David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brothers the singers, with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding aloud and lifting up the voice with joy.

Basi Walawi wakamwagiza Hemani mwana wa Yoeli; na wa nduguze, Asafu mwana wa Berekia; na wa wana wa Merari ndugu zao, Ethani mwana wa Kishi; 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:17

 So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brothers, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brothers, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;

na pamoja nao ndugu zao kwa cheo cha pili, Zekaria, na Yaasieli, na Shemiramothi, na Yehieli, na Uni, na Eliabu; na Benaya, na Maaseya, na Matithia, na Elifelehu, na Mikneya, na Obed-edomu, na Yeieli, mabawabu. 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:18

 and with them their brothers of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, the doorkeepers.

Hivyo hao waimbaji, Hemani, Asafu, na Ethani, wakaagizwa kupiga matoazi yao ya shaba kwa sauti kuu; 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:19

 So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, [were appointed] with cymbals of brass to sound aloud;

na Zekaria, na Yaasieli na Shemiramothi, na Yehieli, na Uni, na Eliabu, na Maaseya, na Benaya, wenye vinanda vya sauti ya Alamothi; 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:20

 and Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries set to Alamoth;

na Matithiya, na Elifelehu, na Mikneya, na Obed-edomu, na Yeieli, na Azazia, wenye vinubi vya sauti ya Sheminithi, 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:21

 and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps tuned to the eight-stringed lyre, to lead.

waongoze. Na Kenania, mkuu wa Walawi, alikuwa juu ya uchukuzi; yeye aliusimamia uchukuzi, kwa sababu alikuwa mstadi. 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:22

 Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was over the song: he instructed about the song, because he was skillful.

Na Berekia na Elkana walikuwa mabawabu kwa ajili ya sanduku. 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:23

 Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.

Na Shebania, na Yoshafati, na Nethaneli, na Amasai, na Zekaria, na Benaya, na Eliezeri, makuhani, wakapiga baragumu mbele ya sanduku la Mungu; na Obed-edomu na Yehia walikuwa mabawabu kwa ajili ya sanduku. 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:24

 Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethanel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obed-edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.

Basi Daudi, na wazee wa Israeli, na maakida wa maelfu, wakaenda, ili kulipandisha sanduku la agano la Bwana kutoka nyumbani mwa Obed-edomu kwa furaha kuu; 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:25

 So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh out of the house of Obed-edom with joy.

hata ikawa, Mungu alipowajalia Walawi waliolichukua sanduku la agano la Bwana, wakachinja ng'ombe saba, na kondoo waume saba. 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:26

 It happened, when God helped the Levites who bore the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, that they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.

Naye Daudi alikuwa amevaa joho ya kitani safi, na Walawi wote waliolichukua sanduku, na waimbaji, na Kenania msimamizi wa uchukuzi, na waimbaji; naye Daudi alikuwa amevaa naivera ya kitani. 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:27

 David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites who bore the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song [with] the singers: and David had on him an ephod of linen.

Ndivyo Israeli wote walivyolipandisha sanduku la agano la Bwana kwa shangwe na kwa sauti ya tarumbeta, na kwa baragumu, na kwa matoazi, wakipiga sauti kuu kwa vinanda na vinubi. 1 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:28

 Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding aloud with psalteries and harps.

Hata ikawa, sanduku la agano la Bwana lilipofika mjini kwa Daudi, Mikali binti Sauli akachungulia dirishani, akamwona mfalme Daudi, akicheza na kushangilia; akamdharau moyoni mwake.

 It happened, as the ark of the covenant of Yahweh came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.
